Choose Well To Live Well

Live fit, healthy and strong in body, mind and spirit!

Right Thinking Right Action

In order to carry a positive action we must develop a positive vision. ~Dalai Lama

The thoughts we think will determine the direction of our life.  This has been taught by many spiritual teachers, and many religions.  If we are constantly looking for things to complain about, blame or fault find, we not only set limits for our life, but negatively effect everyone around us and the health of our physical body.

Right, positive, healthy thinking always comes first.  Right, positive, healthy action follows.

So, let’s decide to think positive on purpose.  If we take a passive approach with this spiritual practice, our minds tend to go towards the negative.  In order to support ourselves with this decision to think positive on purpose, I want to encourage you to:

  • Be proactive in guarding your mind.  A large part of our culture focuses on the negative.  The news tells us all that is going wrong in the world, magazines tell us how to look better, some music we listen to is not only sad and depressing but the words are poison to our soul.  Pay attention to what you listen to and allow into your spirit.
  • On purpose, meditate on empowering thoughts.  I can’t express how important this is not only to your health and well-being, but the goals, dreams and vision for your life.  On purpose means we have to deliberately take time and meditate on thoughts that build up and empower us.  Further, you need to keep it up, and keep it up, and keep it up on a daily basis so it becomes part of you.   May I invite you to visit our meditation practice and start meditating on empowering thoughts!
  • Develop a heart and mind of gratitude.  Gratitude has been called the antidote to stress and anxiety.  It is impossible to feel grateful and negative at the same time.  A heart and mind of gratitude literally chases despair, worry and anxiety away.  Start your day counting your blessings and say a prayer of thankfulness.

So, remember, we have only one day at a time to live.  Live this day positive and choose well!
