Aim for calmness
A calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence, and that’s very important for good health.
~Dalai Lama
Every day gives us a new opportunity to move forward in a healthy positive direction – mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Today, I want to encourage you to aim for calmness in your approach to life. Calmness keeps our:
- Mind focused and clear
- Immune system strong
- Energy level high
When we feel anxious, worried, tense or frustrated it not only drains us of our energy but it will make us sick physically if not released on a daily basis.
We always have a choice. We may not always get to control the circumstances that we find ourselves in, but we always choose how to respond and approach each experience.
One powerful way to keep calm is to practice peaceful moments throughout the day. These mini meditations will instantly release stress and tension, help you regain your focus, presence and energy.
- Find a quiet place, be present and breathe.
- Breathe deeply and intentionally and make your exhale a little longer than your inhale.
- Repeat a calming mantra (“Let go”) and give yourself a full 2 minutes to allow the peace and calming mantra to infuse your body and mind.
What are you letting go of? The tension, pressure, fear and worry.
You can take advantage of our guided meditations here.
Please don’t dismiss this peaceful practice because of its simplicity. It is the consistent simple healthy practices that reap spectacular results.
So, remember, we have only one day at a time to live, so let’s live this day consciously and deliberately and choose well!
