Attitude Habits

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act, but a habit. ~Aristotle

We make healthy positive changes in our life by changing our habits. Habits are formed through repetition. Replacing an unhealthy habit with a healthy positive one is not easy. It takes daily discipline and commitment, but as you keep at it and refuse to give up, you will succeed!

Today, I want to encourage you to:

  1. Create a habit of living optimistically. Optimism is a positive expectation. It is living in hope and faith. Very often we experience what we expect so let’s expect good things! We are going to be expecting something, why not allow our expectations to bless us instead of hurt us?
  2. Create a habit of doing your best. Be excellent in all you do. Everything we do is a seed we sow, and we will reap the results of our effort. Excellent effort will eventually reap excellent results. I emphasize eventually. Success takes patience, time and effort!
  3. Create a habit of practicing peace. There are so many angry offended people in the world. Peace is a choice, a healthy choice. It is written in scripture that a relaxed attitude lengthens life. It’s a lot easier to practice peace when we are meditating, exercising and eating well. It’s hard to practice peace if you are worried and anxious, eating toxic food, and have too much pent up stress and tension in your body from lack of movement.
  4. Create a habit of finishing what you start. Keep your commitments and honor your word to the best of your ability. This develops discipline, integrity, and self-confidence.

We make healthy positive changes in our life by changing our habits. Press on and don’t give up!

Remember we have only one day at a time to live, so let’s live this day consciously and deliberately and let’s choose well!
