How to have “Palm tree” strength and stability
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. ~Christian Larson
Being strong is more than a decision. It is a conscious effort to build a firm foundation of inner peace and strength.
I recently read a palm tree can bend in the most powerful of winds, yet won’t get uprooted. Actually the roots of the palm become stronger because of the storm. We need to be like a palm tree, bend and sway with our circumstances, moving and flowing, yet grounded firm and becoming stronger.
How can we build this unshakeable strength?
Make time for silence, stillness and contemplation. Whether it’s a meditation practice, prayer, a walk in nature all are powerful ways to be still. When we practice this consistently we will find the strength and peace already deep within us that will help us through each day, and accomplish our goals.
Consciously choose each day what you will allow into your spirit. Live deliberately. Pay attention to the type of food you eat, how you think, what you say, what you do, what you watch, listen to and read. All of these have an effect on you, either a positive healthy effect or a negative toxic effect.
May I encourage you to invest some time meditating on thoughts that empower and strengthen you. Our thoughts have a tremendous influence on our attitude, our emotions, and our behavior. In order to be healthy, positive and strong, we need to think healthy, positive and strong. There is Power in Meditation.
