It’s all about your thoughts!
Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an action, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny.
One of the best life decisions we can make is to decide to live each moment of our day to the fullest. We can’t do that if we are constantly dwelling on worried, anxious, and negative thoughts.
As defined by Wikipedia, meditation is the action or practice of contemplating, thinking, pondering and reflecting…taking that definition, let me ask you today…what are you meditating on? It has been said if we know how to worry we know how to meditate. How many of us worry?
The problem is most of the time we are thinking about our problems, or imagining worse case outcomes, worried about what may or may not happen, and even rolling over and over in our mind negative things that have happened to us years ago. Then we wonder why we feel stuck, don’t feel well, are exhausted all the time, stressed, anxious or worried. We are meditating on fearful thoughts
What we continually dwell on and think about drops into our spirit, our being, and these thoughts either strengthen us or weaken us….I want to encourage you today to start deliberately and intentionally think empowering thoughts. We are going to be thinking about something, let’s train our mind to work for us instead of against us.
Start your day with meditation, and take two minute peaceful moments throughout the day.
Find a quiet place, move into some deep rhythmic breathing and repeat “Let go.” What are we letting go? Fear, worry, anxiety, frustration, impatience….
When you give yourself the gift of silence, and contemplate an empowering thought, it strengthens and stabilizes you and you truly get a feeling of peace and calmness no matter what is going on around you.
Practice this consistently…and you will feel and see the difference in your body, your mind, your attitude, and how your life unfolds. This is truly a life changer…
We have only today to live! So live it consciously and deliberately and choose well!
