A positive, healthy and empowered life doesn’t just happen. We make it happen. Every choice is moving us in a direction.
We can choose to bring light, optimism and nourishment to any negative, difficult situation or circumstance.
How can we keep calm and stay positive in the midst of negative circumstances?
1. Focus on your goodness. No matter how hard the situation there is always a silver lining. There are blessings all around you. Focus on them. What you look for you will find.
2. Limit negative input. Being constantly fed bad news either from other people, the media, or whatever, will keep you in a state of fear.
3. Spend time outside every day. Taking a walk in the woods or by the water is a nourishing way to clear your mind and regain stability.
4. Connect to your spirit at least once a day. Prayer, meditation, listening to music, exercising, reading something inspiring, writing in a journal are ways to go deeper and stay connected to your spirit.
It may be stormy in your life right now. Whether its family issues, work issues, health issues…we all have things we are working through and working towards. But connecting to a deeper place within you will keep you in peace in the midst of storms. Remember all storms pass so just keep moving forward doing and being your best. So remember, we have only one day at a time to live, so live today consciously and deliberately and choose to stay in your peace.
